The Knoxville Baseball and Softball Squads have big games in Osceola tomorrow. The Softball Panthers can sweep Clarke with a win tonight and make things a bit more interesting in the South Central Conference race. The Panthers are currently 4-4 in the league play and beat Albia in their last conference game on Thursday. Coach Steph Christner says there is no magic formula for her team…they just need to keep improving. The Baseball Panthers control their own destiny in the South Central Conference but will be shorthanded tomorrow night. Knoxville will be without starting catcher Calyn Bumgartner who must serve a suspension for being ejected in Friday’s loss to Perry. Knoxville hopes to have third baseman D.J. Snyder back after sitting out with an injury on Friday. The Panthers and Indians are playing a varsity double header.
