Pella Christian’s softball team erased some of the bitter taste left in their mouths earlier this week after a pair of tough conference losses by winning both games in their own tournament Saturday.

The Eagles were 6-0 winners over Humboldt and soundly defeated Belle Plaine 10-0 at the Pella Sports Park.

It was a field day offensively for PC, led by three doubles, a home run, and 6 RBI from Lizzy Van Manen in the twin bill. Pella Christian had a nine run 4th inning in game two as well.

Emma Schnell struck out 18 on the day in 11 innings of shutout ball.

Pella Christian is now 17-6 and off until Wednesday for a home game with Grinnell.
