A lot of superlatives can be thrown around when talking about the Pella Christian football team heading into the fall, with high expectations following a program that’s grown with this group of seniors.
One of the biggest strengths on the defensive side of the ball may be their defensive backfield. Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says it’s a veteran bunch that offers a variety of skill sets.
“Eddie Pringle was kind of a lockdown corner for us last year, and he’s back for his senior year, as well as Levi Jungling in the back end as safety,” he says. “Then we have a couple of young guys, couple of sophomores — Kyle Fynaardt, who actually ended up starting the last four or five games for us last year, and Noah Treimer, who we are looking at for safety.”
Last year, the secondary generated 12 turnovers. Pella Christian is gearing up for their rivalry matchup with PCM in Monroe on Friday.
