The Pella Fire Department is hoping the community will help some of their own who experienced tragedy.
Naomi Lynn Braafhart died shortly after she was born with limb-body wall complex on September 12th. She was the daughter of firefighter Joe Braafhart and his wife Jenny, and granddaughter of Assistant Fire Chief Joel Braafhart. Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkom tells KNIA/KRLS News they will be setting boots throughout the community at local businesses to collect donations for the family’s end-of-life expenses.
Donations can also be sent to the Pella Fire Department at PO Box 88 in Pella. Checks should be made payable to the Braafhart family.
