The PCM Mustangs will get back to action tonight as they travel down to Centerville to take on the 1-2 Centerville Big Reds. After a sloppy slow start in week one against Pella Christian, the Mustang have shifted into high gear and seem to be running on all cylinders after a win on the road at Montezuma in week 2 and a total dismantling of the Albia Blue Demons last Friday night. The Mustangs lead by Sophomore running back Wes Cummings will look to keep the wins coming as they enter week 2 of district play. For Centerville the Big Reds will shoot for 2 wins in less than a week after their game last Friday versus Clarke was suspended and moved to Monday where the Big Reds would go on to get their first win in dominating fashion with 619 yards of total offense in their 47-8 win. The Mustangs will look for win number two in the district and move a top the district by taking down district foe Centerville as the Mustangs search for another district championship. Head Coach Greg Bonnett knows the season is young but hopes his team keeps improving throughout the rest of the season and if the Mustangs can do that he’s confident they will be a good team at the end of the year. The Mustangs and Big Reds will get things kicked off in week two of district play tonight in Centerville with pregame starting at 7pm and kick off to follow at 7:30.
