While the Pella Christian football team will be relieved when their leader David Kacmarynski returns next week, the Eagles proved they are indeed a very complete and downright scary football team without him last night.
The Eagles scored 41 points in the first 12 and half minutes of regulation to win 62-14 over Mount Ayr on their longest road trip of the season.
Levi Jungling dazzled in his first career start at quarterback, scoring five total touchdowns, including his first three through the air during his time as an Eagle.
Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski says while his dynamic all-state wideout was excellent as the man behind center, it was the work of the offensive line that has him additionally excited moving forward.
“Our o-line was very dominant tonight in every phase,” Kacmarynski says. “Miles [Wichhart] ran the ball well and had nice holes, Levi did too, and basically every back we put in was able to have some success.”
Pella Christian outgained Mount Ayr 417-65 in the 1st half and never looked back. They are now 5-0 on the season and host a struggling Westwood Academy team next Friday.
