Medical professionals and breast cancer survivors shared their stories during part one of the 10th annual KNIA/KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Save-a-Life Radiothon yesterday at Pella Regional Health Center.

Surgeon Dr. Mike Thompson says the program is meant to encourage women 40 and over to schedule annual mammograms to catch breast cancer early. The next broadcast of this year’s radiothon is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.

Breast Cancer Awareness activities at Pella Regional Health Center continue tonight with Paint the Stands Pink at the Pella High football game vs. North Polk, and the Pella in Pink run/walk tomorrow at 8 a.m. by the Tulip Toren.
