Miles Richard Leavengood of Melcher-Dallas will continue serving the sentence he was given in 2014 after the Iowa Supreme Court upheld his conviction last week.

Leavengood was found guilty of assault causing serious injury, domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, and tampering with a witness. He argued there was insufficient evidence to convict him of a crime. The court disagreed. Leavengood is serving 9 years.
