Helping Hands in Knoxville has met its goal for turkeys to feed hungry families in Marion County on Thanksgiving. Chuck Galeazzi with Helping Hands shared his feelings after the last turkey was donated.

He credits KNIA/KRLS with getting the word out and says citizens in Knoxville and Marion County always come through when they hear about others in need. Forty turkeys were donated in a 24 hour period. Twenty turkeys were donated by Family Video prior to the beginning of the effort. Galeazzi thanked everyone involved and encouraged them to look forward to Christmas, when he says the need for donations will be even greater.
