Hospital patients appreciate caroling around the holiday season.

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Activities Director Lynda DeBold tells KNIA/KRLS News church and school groups will visit the hospital before Christmas this year to sing to patients, and she is hoping for even more groups and individuals to contribute their talents. She says the value of carols and Christmas cards in helping someone heal can’t be underestimated. Christmas traditions bring back memories of holidays with family and make the medical environment feel more homey. DeBold says individuals interested in singing to patients or otherwise helping bring Christmas to the hospital should call Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and ask for her office.
