A local author is sharing the joy of the holiday season with a new children’s brook.
Lois Vermeer partnered with illustrator Joe Hoksbergen for “A Chrismoose Mystery.” Vermeer says the story drew inspiration from stuffed moose she had in her flower shop Thistles during the holidays last year. Both Vermeer and Hoksbergen will be at the Pella Public Library on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the Christmas-based mystery book. Copies will be available for a minimum of $20 donation, with all proceeds benefitting the Pella Christian Grade School expansion project.
