A weekend system is expected to bring more snow to the area.
According to the National Weather Service, anywhere from a trace up to three inches of snow is possible in south central Iowa, with the higher amounts falling north and east of Highway 163. Statewide, four to six inches is expected north of I-80 and east of I-35. Law enforcement is reminding all drivers to slow down and use extra caution.
Bitter cold is expected during the middle of next week.
