JEO, the Ankeny consulting firm hired by the city of Knoxville to develop a new comprehensive plan over the coming year will be holding an informational meeting Thursday, December 15.
The session, which JEO calls Planning 101, will answer questions about comprehensive planning and the communities role in creating the new plan. City Manager Aaron Adams says anyone who has questions about the process is encouraged to attend. He says the informational session will help them understand how the process will work and what data JEO will need from the community. A comprehensive plan is a road map for a city’s development and will guide city policy over the next 20 years. Several community input sessions will be held in 2017 to give the document form. Planning 101 will take place at City Hall from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
