The Central College women’s basketball hits the home hardwood today to battle Monmouth of Illinois.

The Dutch are 7-2, while the Scots come in at 1-7.

Central coach Chelsea Peterson says her staff spent the break getting familiar with Monmouth, and has spent the past two days going over the game plan with the players.

She also knows that the opposing coaching staff will be ready for today’s contest.

“They’re in their second year with a new head coach. I had known him previously, as during my time at Anderson he was an assistant at Adrian College. I know that he really knows basketball. He’s the head coach for a reason and he’s done a great job turning things.”

Today’s game is an afternoon contest, with tipoff at 2:00 inside of Kuyper Gym.
