While many of our area basketball teams get back to action on Tuesday night following a long holiday layoff, Pella Christian continues to wait.

The Eagles girls and boys still don’t play until Friday night.

Girls coach Kevin Van Maanen says that there is one specific area offensively that he’s looking for his team to improve when they finally get back at it in the new year.

“I think we’ve got to keep moving the basketball – player movement, ball movement and learning to share the ball more. Hopefully we’ll get better at that, keep sharing the basketball, keep the ball moving. That’s when we’ll get good shots.”

Pella Christian is 6-2, with their only two losses to the number one ranked teams in 4-A and 5-A – Pella and Indianola.

The Eagles start the 2017 portion of their schedule this Friday night at Grinnell.
