UPDATE: Due to an error by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Pella Christian is no longer a one-seed in their regional softball playoff bracket.

According to the IGHSAU, Columbus Junction’s sharing agreement with WACO was not correctly documented in the softball classification. The change places them in Class 3A and moves Dyersville Beckman Catholic into Class 2A.

That, in turn, has shifted the brackets’ geographical area. Pella Christian has moved to Class 2A Region 6 from Region 7. The Eagles will play the winner of Mediapolis and Danville on July 5th. The move places the No. 8 Eagles in the same region as No. 3 Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, who is the one seed.

Pleasantville will still play Des Moines Christian on July 5th, but now have CMB as the one seed in their Region 7 bracket.
