North Polk swept both PCM summer squads last night, the softball team 8-3 and baseball 5-0.
Maya Hegwood took the loss striking out two in the circle for the Mustangs, who had plenty of hits offensively but could not put together a big inning. Katie Vande Wall was 2-3 with a home run, and while Madison Foster was 3-4 with a pair of RBI. The baseball team could only muster one hit, from Noah Henkenius, in a tough night offensively and defensively for the Mustangs. Derek Brown gave up five runs in four innings, however just two were earned in the loss to the Comets. The loss wraps up the regular season for the softball squad, and they end with a 16-12 record, while the baseball team falls to 16-9.
