The Pella City Council will look to award a contract for improvements to Caldwell Park at their meeting this evening.

A public hearing is scheduled to review the bid submitted to add ice skating equipment, pickleball courts, and an addition to the skate park. A resolution allowing the disposal of property previously vacated for the use and benefit of Central College is under consideration as well. City staff recently discovered that the property under the Vermeer Science Center was vacated but the proper procedure for selling public land was not executed. The council will also look to approve the third and final reading of an ordinance setting guidelines for establishing historic overlay zones in the city.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
