Pella’s award-winning community theatre group Union Street Players held their annual elections this week.

President Mat Kelly will lead the Board of Directors, replacing long-time president Tom Vander Well. Union Street Players also discussed infrastructure improvements they’ve helped make at the Pella Community Center, including renovations to the audio system, repairing and re-hanging posters in the hallway, additional storage for audio and lighting equipment, and updating air conditioners in the Union Street Players meeting room and Green Room. Doug DeWolf was announced as this year’s inductee to the Union Street Players Walk of Fame, and he will be honored at an Awards Night celebration on Saturday, September 23rd.
