The Marion County Development Commission (MCDC) announced the names of the Top 10 under 40 for 2017.
This is the first year for this award in the Red Rock Area. The purpose of the program is to showcase the contributions young adults under the age of 40 are making within area companies, highlight the impact young adults have on local communities, encourage all young professionals to become involved as volunteers, and promote the benefits for young adults to live and work in Marion County. The Marion County Development Commission received nominations for the awards and the organizations’ commissioners reviewed recommendations to select the final top 10.
2017 RED ROCK AREA TOP 10 UNDER 40:
Todd Chambers
EMPLOYER: Insurance Agent/Financial Advisor, McKay Insurance Agency
VOLUNTEER: Todd’s volunteer involvement currently includes the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Board of Trustees, Rotary, NAIFA and MDRT. Over the years, Mr. Chambers has been involved with serving on the board of directors for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Pine Knolls Country Club and Knoxville Hospital Foundation.

EMPLOYER: Senior HR Manager: Corporate Sales Subsidiaries & Organizational Dev., Pella Corporation
VOLUNTEER: Currently, Andrea is involved with the Society for Human Resources (SHRM) State Conference Leadership Team, Central College National Advisory Council and for the past 19 years working with the Pella High School Forte dance team. Previously, she has served in leadership positions for the Pella Professional and Business Women’s Forum, Central College EAM Advisory Board and Central College Town and Gown volunteer. Andrea is also a graduate of Leadership Red Rock.

VOLUNTEER: She is currently serving as Chair of the board for the Pella Opera House, Pella Historical Society & Museums board member and Vice Chair of the PACE Events Committee. Alison has previously been involved with the Pella Garden Club, Teens Encounter Christ, Tulip Time spieling coordination, Pella Corporation Women in Manufacturing Leader and Pella Corporation Women’s Connections Leadership Committee.

EMPLOYER: Industrial Adhesives Tape Division Team Leader, 3M
VOLUNTEER: Most recently, Dave graduated from Leadership Red Rock in 2016 and is currently working within the area to help pilot a Young Professionals group in Knoxville. When he lived in South Dakota, he was a first responder, volunteer firefighter and certified as a National Wildlife Firefighter with Coyote1 National Firefighting task force. Locally, he has volunteered at the Marion County Fair.
