After getting its 11 game regular season winning streak stopped last week by English Valleys, the Twin Cedars Football Squad will start district play against one of the favorites this season by hosting Moravia. Coach Aaron Allspach tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he would like to see his team make key stops this week, something they did not do last week. He adds Moravia is a fast team that likes to score a lot of points. Meanwhile, the Melcher-Dallas Saints will look to go 3-0 for the first time since 2012. The Saints will play one of the teams that is predicted to struggle in eight-man this season, Tri-County. The Trojans have scored a grand total of 14 points in three games this season while surrendering 162 to English Valleys, Lone Tree, and WACO. Coach Mike Hortsman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Tri-County likes to run up the middle, and he hopes his defense can stop the run. Both games are scheduled for a kickoff at seven.
