Despite a slow start offensively with both teams trading punts, the PCM Mustangs blew out the Chargers of Chariton on the road last night 42-14.
The Mustangs blew the doors off at the end of the first quarter and the rest of the first half, getting a 35-0 halftime lead, with a Noah Anderson 60 yard punt return touchdown to put the final score in the books in the second half. Quarterback Reed Worth threw for three touchdowns, while Anderson scored three total touchdowns, adding to his special teams touchdown with both a receiving and rushing touchdown. Head Coach Greg Bonnett told KNIA/KRLS Sports, he was impressed with how his team adapted to the pressure Chariton brought early. The Mustangs move to 5-1 on the season, and will host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont next Friday night.
