KNIA/KRLS, Pella Regional Health Center, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and Marion County Public Health are once again partnering together for breast cancer awareness month.

Radiologist Dr. Alison Smith tells KNIA/KRLS News that Pella Regional aims to encourage all women 40 and over to come in for regular mammograms. Pella Regional will be host to the KNIA/KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Radiothon on Thursday, October 5th from 4 to 7 p.m., with health professionals and breast cancer survivors sharing their stories.

Pella football fans are encouraged to wear pink on October 6th to the home football game against Norwalk. The entire community is also invited to walk with survivors and their families in the annual Pella in Pink celebration on Saturday, October 7th at 8 a.m.
