Knoxville High School held a successful homecoming week this week as different events and activities were held throughout the week to celebrate.

On Thursday the homecoming king and queen were announced with Nicholas Crouse and Kaley Iddings crowned in front of a packed Knoxville High School Gymnasium. Then on Friday the Knoxville homecoming parade was held between rain showers as residents came out to line the streets and show support to the Panthers. Following the parade the 2nd annual Knoxville Middle School Tailgate Party was held at the Knoxville Hy-Vee to help raise funds for the Knoxville Middle School Band. Member of the band Katelyn Beck tells KNIA/KRLS News the tailgate event is great to raise money so the band can buy new instruments and repair the broken ones. The last event of the night was the football game at Ken Locke Stadium as the Knoxville Panthers would get their first homecoming win since 2014 in a 36 to 24 overtime win against North Polk.
