The Knoxville Public Library will host Dr. Barbara Lounsberry on Tuesday, October 10th.

Lounsberry will be hosting a program titled “Yup, Nope, Why Midwesterners Don’t Say Much” starting at 6 p.m. and running until 8 p.m. Dr. Heather Libby with the library tells KNIA/KRLS News the program is about the midwestern culture and how midwesterners only use the necessary amount of words when speaking. Libby says Dr. Lounsberry will try to explain the reasoning for the cultural trend and some of the benefits and disadvantages. The program is free and open to anyone.
