An early 1-0 deficit was not too big of a hill for the Central College women’s soccer team to climb, thanks in large part to forward Erin Manion’s two goals in a 2-1 win over Nebraska Wesleyan University Saturday.

With the win, Central moves to 12-2-1 and 3-1-1 in Iowa Conference play.

The Dutch men got a second-half goal from defender Logan Serbousek, but it wasn’t enough as they fell Saturday 2-1, dropping to 9-4-0 and 2-3-0 in the conference.

Both teams host Buena Vista Wednesday afternoon.
