Pella hosts Nevada tonight with eyes set on its fifth consecutive undefeated district championship.

The Little Dutch have already clinched a playoff berth and the number one seed out of the district, but coach Jay McKinstrey says they want that district title all to themselves.

“If we would lose, we’d share the district title with the winner of the Norwalk / Carlisle game, and we don’t want that to happen. We’d have the first playoff spot for the district, but the title is shared, so we want to go out and win it.”

A win could also be important for determining home field in the second round of the playoffs if the Little Dutch make it that far.

Tonight’s game between Pella and Nevada is set for 7:30 at Pella High School. A reminder that tonight’s game is the rescheduled “Paint the Stands Pink” night. Pregame coverage will start at 7:00 with Trevor Castle and Randy Sikkema on our KRLS2 stream at www.kniakrls.com.
