Sinterklaas made his annual visit to Pella in celebration of the holidays.

Pella Historical Society hosted a parade along Franklin Street from the Historical Village to the Tulip Toren. A short presentation and proclamation by the ceremonial Town Crier and Burgemeister followed, with music provided by members of the Pella Marching Dutch. The Tulip Queen and Royal Court also made their first public appearance and met with children as they visited Sinterklaas later in the morning.

Pella Historical Society moved the Sinterklaas celebration to better coincide with St. Nicholas day in the Netherlands and as hundreds of visitors converged on Pella for the 55th annual Christmas Tour of Homes.
