The Iowa Conference leader in tackles, Central College senior linebacker Tyler Olson was selected to the D3football.com All-West Region third team.

It is the sixth consecutive season that a Dutch player has been chosen to the all-region team. Olson is the third Dutch linebacker to have been selected to the D3football all-region team since its origin in 2005.

With 107 tackles in 10 games this season, Olson was tied with fellow inside linebacker Sam Norgaard for the most on the team and in the league. He snared four interceptions, the sixth most of any player in the conference and the most by a linebacker. Olson also forced two forced fumbles, had five pass break-ups and two sacks.

Olson was named the Iowa Conference defensive player of the week twice this season.

The Dutch finished the season 7-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play, taking second place.
