The Central College men’s basketball team could take a big leap towards the Iowa Conference tournament with an upset of league leading Buena Vista tonight. That game is part of the final women’s – men’s doubleheader of the season at Kuyper Gym.

With two games remaining, the Dutch are tied for sixth place in the league with Wartburg at 6-8. The top six teams in the standings will make the tournament, and Central owns the tiebreaker over the Knights because of their season sweep.

The Dutch play the Beavers tonight, plus last-place Luther on Saturday. Wartburg plays fifth place Dubuque today, then closes against Buena Vista this weekend.

The Central women have already been eliminated from IIAC tournament contention.
