Pella Firefighters raised funds for the annual Fight for Air Climb Monday night.

Firefighters were bussing tables and delivering pizzas at Pizza Ranch, with a portion of the evening’s proceeds benefiting the department’s involvement in the American Lung Association’s annual fundraiser.

Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkom tells KNIA/KRLS News he’s thankful for the community’s support thus far, and to the Pella Pizza Ranch, area firefighters, and the Pella Police Department for their assistance with the evening.

Van Gorkom says they hope to top last year’s fundraising mark and get to $7000 by the climb in Des Moines.
