Near record warmth is expected over the next week throughout much of South Central Iowa.
High temperatures are likely to top out in the low to upper 60s, approaching many high marks for heat in February. The record high for Friday is 67 (1948) in Marion County, 68 (2011) on Saturday, 73 (1930) on Sunday and 66 (1930) on Monday.
The first taste of spring is expected to last through most of next week as well, with rain possible Monday but otherwise dry conditions in the forecast. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
