At the State Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines 14 area wrestlers started day two and 13 will move on to wrestle in day three.
PCM’s Jarron Trausch was the only area wrestler to get eliminated in day two setting up a potential high finishing day for 13 area wrestlers. Chaz Clark from Pleasantville will wrestle in the Class 1A 220 pound final on Saturday. Xavier Miller from PCM will wrestle in the Class 2A 145 pound final on Saturday and Egan Lickiss from Indianola will wrestle in the Class 3A 285 pound final on Saturday. Ten other area wrestlers are still in position to stand on the podium on Saturday. The ten other wrestlers that will wrestle on Saturday are as follows:

The final day of the 2017 Iowa High School Wrestling Tournament will begin at 10 a.m. inside the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
