Local representatives expect attention to be focused on committee-related bills now that big-ticket issues have been resolved.
State Senator Ken Rozenboom says more bipartisan legislation is on the horizon for some of his committee assignments.
“Natural Resources and Environment is a huge process, we are working on water quality issues with that–I think all of Iowa is interested in that and I think that could be one of those bipartisan efforts that both sides share some common goals and consensus on,” he says. He also believes bipartisan bills may come from Veteran’s Affairs.
Rozenboom anticipates additional work in the coming weeks for public school equity and transportation funding as well.
