Another day, another temperature record falling in Marion County.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s high of 75 shattered the record of 66 set on February 22nd, 1930. Three other records were broken over the past week on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday.

Despite the extended spring break, winter is expected to return for at least one day, with 1-3 inches of snow expected by overnight Friday. Travel will be hazardous, especially in most of northwest Iowa. Daytime highs are expected to rebound into the 40s and 50s early next week.
