The Intersection of Highway T-15 and Godfrey in Knoxville is blocked due to a power pole snapping in half and with the fear of potential power lines coming down.

According to the Marion County Road Department T15 is closed between Robinson in Knoxville to Old Hwy 92 in both directions. Godfrey Lane is also closed from T15 to Pleasant St. The Marion County Sheriff’s Department advised a minimum 4 hour closure.
Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Police Department, and MidAmerican Energy are all on scene. Residents are advised to avoid the area and if they are planning on driving from Pella to Knoxville or from Knoxville to Pella. Traffic on T-15 is being detoured to Old Highway 92.
MidAmerican Energy is reporting that 448 customers are impacted by the outage as of 10:40 a.m.
