Early on the season, Pleasantville Head Boys Track and Field Coach Gabe Bakker has plans of letting all athletes perform in their first few meets.

The Trojans numbers are comparative to the last several seasons under coach Bakker, and he told KNIA/KRLS Sports that he thinks that the high turnout is because of cooperation between all the varsity coaches to try and get the students to play as many sports as possible. Coach Bakker went on to say that early on in the season, you don’t really know what you have from some of the guys, so getting everyone some action is a good thing overall. The Trojans get their season started next Tuesday at Pella Christian.
