The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is coming to Lake Red Rock in June to offer a Safe Boating Course.
Park Ranger Tracy Spry says this is an excellent course to brush up on boating knowledge, safety requirements and general rules of the water. It is open to beginners as well as experienced boaters, and it fulfills the state’s boater education requirement for young boaters 12 up to 18 years old. The course fee is $5.00, and pre-registration is required no later than May 30th. The Safe Boating Course at Lake Red Rock is on Saturday, June 3rd from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
