Pella native Kyle Korver is playing in the third conference finals of his career, but still looking for the first ever trip to the NBA finals in his 14-year career.

As a member of the Chicago Bulls, he lost the 2011 Eastern Conference finals to Miami. Then in 2015, Korver and the Atlanta Hawks lost to Cleveland.

Both of those opponents featured LeBron James, now Korver’s teammate on the Cavaliers. They opened the Eastern Conference finals last night in Boston, the Cavaliers won 117-04.
