Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Dennis Ridnouer will be in Knoxville Friday.

The Colonel will be speaking at the Knoxville Public Library about his book “The Vietnam Air War: First Person.” The book is about the airplanes and technology used in the Vietnam air war as well as Col. Ridnouer’s time as an Air Force pilot. Director of the Knoxville Public Library, Roslin Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS News Col. Ridnouer lives in North Carolina but is visiting family in Knoxville as he is a 1961 graduate of Knoxville High School. Thompson says, Col. Ridnouer’s former classmates will celebrate his return to Knoxville by bringing cake to the library. Col. Ridnouer will be speaking at 1 p.m.
