Budget season is approaching for public school districts in Iowa, and difficult decisions loom on the horizon for many.

Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS News the board will begin work at their meeting Monday to decide the upcoming fiscal year budget. He says 2019 may not be as difficult financially due to reductions made back for 2016, however, more cuts will have to be made over the next few years, beginning in 2020, as state aid has not met their annual expense increase.
