A Knoxville man was charged with Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Facility, a class D felony, on Sunday.
According to court documents Byron Fleming, age 28, was arrested on a traffic stop for driving while his driver’s license was revoked. Officers searched him, and transported him to the Marion County Jail. Once at the jail, officers searched Fleming a second time where a search of his wallet revealed the presence of marijuana concentrates, which Fleming stated he forgot were contained in the wallet. Fleming was charged with possession of contraband in a correctional facility, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while denied/revoked. A court date has been set for March 13th.
