Numerous local FFA students will compete at the District competition today.

Students from Pella, Knoxville, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, PCM, and Melcher-Dallas will all take part in the Leadership Career Development Event. Earlier this week, members of local FFA chapters, including Pella and Twin Cedars, met USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue and Under Secretary Bill Northey, who was sworn in to his new role with the federal government at the event. Northey has served as Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture since 2007.
