Filling events should not be a problem for the Pleasantville girls’ track team this spring as 34 athletes make up the roster.

Head Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports leading their charge will be their two returning state qualifiers from a year ago. Sophomore Kasey Pelzer qualified in the long jump as a freshman with a season best jump of 16 feet, 1 inch. Kylee Van Haalen-Brown returns for her senior season after qualifying in the discus last year with a season best throw of 111 feet. With the depth of this years squad Fichter adds, “I think we will be competitive in alot of meets this year and hope we can piece things together for state qualifiers.”

Pleasantville starts up their outdoor season March 29th at Clarke High School.
