Maundy Thursday, a Christian holy day on the Thursday before Easter commemorating the last supper of Jesus, is tomorrow.
The Knoxville First United Methodist Church is holding an open service, and Pastor David Weesner tells KNIA/KRLS News that people should expect worship and singing in the beginning, and a drama of the last supper acted out after. Weesner adds that people learn through drama and the arts, so it will be a fun way to enjoy the evening in a different way. The service begins at 7pm in the sanctuary. There will also be a Good Friday Service at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center on Friday at 7:00pm which will be broadcast live on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA, KNIAKRLS.com and the free KNIA mobile app. The event is put on by the Knoxville Ministerial Association, with many area churches participating.
