The PCM boys’ golf team had a big Thursday afternoon, as they captured a meet title in the Des Moines Christian Invite at Jester Park.

The Mustangs shot a 310 in the 18-hole meet to best the six-team field and seized their first victory of the season. Dayton Boell and Noah Lanphier paced the team finishing in a tie for third with scores of 75. Andrew Van Ryswyk made headlines by sinking a hole-in-one. Head Coach Matt Rider tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he thought the experience and depth of the team played a role. He noted the team was playing loose and that helps to bounce back after a tough hole.

The Mustangs will look to continue the momentum today when they travel to Pella this afternoon.
