No team in the state of Iowa has had as many drama-filled games than the PCM boys’ soccer team, and Thursday was nothing different. The Mustangs lost another heartbreaker, this time against Nevada falling 4-3 in a shootout.
Managing just three goals in their first three games, the Mustangs (0-4) got their offense going as they got goals from Misha Seebeck, Drew Johnson, and Blake Read on the night. With the score tied at 3 at the end of a pair overtimes, Nevada outscored PCM 4-2 in the shootout to seize the win.
Three of the Mustang four losses have come in extra time including a pair of shootouts. PCM will look to breakthrough Tuesday when they travel to Chariton.
