Thursday was nothing new for the PCM girls’ track team, as they continue to put up big numbers and finished third out of 12 teams in the Lady Charger Invitational at Guthrie-Center.
The Mustangs finished with 147 points on the night, just six points shy of the meet champion Panorama. The team posted seven first place finishes on the day including Ashley Miller in the 100m (13.46 seconds), Sierra Foster in the 200m (27.45 seconds), and Margo Chipps in the 400 meter hurdles (1:19). Relay events continue to be a strength with first place honors in the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, and shuttle hurdle relay teams. Other top individual finishes include Baylee Smith third in the 3000m and Megan Cowman third in the 100m hurdles. Head Coach Bridget Martin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that one of the most exciting things about this team is times continue to drop, yet there is still room for improvement.
The Mustangs will get back on the track Monday at Gilbert.
