An Oskaloosa man was sentenced in Marion County Thursday after pleading guilty to two counts of lascivious acts with a child and one count of a child witnessing a sex act.
A plea deal was reached with Marion County Attorney’s Office and Clinton Randall Robbins to serve 22 years in prison total, 10 years for each lascivious acts charge and two for the child witnessing a sex act, to be served consecutively. According to court documents Robbins was arrested from an incident that took place in 2016 in Harvey in which Robbins had sexual contact with a 9-year-old female. Multiple victim statements were read, with a relative of the minor stating “ I wish you could feel her pain, feel her fear. Your apology never fixed anything,” and another stating, “one day I hope no more tears fall down my face. One day I hope to forget, but never forgive. You are in the hands of the law now, and I know justice will be served to you. I hope you never see the light of day again.”
Robbins will be forced to pay restitution to be determined at a later date, enter in the substance abuse program, and will be forced to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
