Your Life Matters, Knoxville’s Suicide Prevention Task Force, is hosting their next town meeting to learn skills to prevent suicide and how to respond after a death.
A presentation will be made by Bob VandePol with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, an organization that provides counseling, addiction treatment, and crisis response services among many others. VandePol tells KNIA/KRLS News his mission while he is in Knoxville is to help educate people in three areas, how to acknowledge death by suicide, what are some of the warning signs, and how to talk to someone who could potentially be suicidal. The presentation will be on April 26th at 6:30pm at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. The event is free of charge and open to everyone of all ages.
